Have a sewing machine gathering dust in the closet? Maybe it's been years since your last stitch—or maybe you've never used a machine at all. This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect low-pressure way to get reacquainted (or acquainted!) with the art of sewing.

In this fun, hands-on 4-hour class, you'll learn essential sewing machine skills: how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, learn about tension and and stitch length and sew a straight seam. Once you've got the basics down, you'll put them to use by crafting your very own personalized drawstring bucket bag—perfect as a project pouch, lunch sack, travel bag, or catch-all for your essentials.

You'll choose from a wide variety of fabrics in different colors, patterns, and textures, and finish your bag with a drawstring. By the end of class, you'll not only have a useful, stylish bag—you’ll have the confidence to take on future sewing projects, too.
