Kids will build a toolbox of social skills to handle school and recess challenges. Kids will learn how to problem solve to be inclusive, deal with rule changers & cheating, & how to be a friendly classmate whether you win or lose. Kids will learn exact words to say, tone of voice & how their body language should look. Kids will learn how to respond when other kids say they can’t play, or they are having private conversations. Kids will learn frustration management techniques & coping skills to help them be calm in sticky situations, so they can “act”, not “react”. Camp includes a back to school tool-box craft, & lots of fun games. Recommended for ages 7-10

Are you ready to explore a beautiful dance form that is both rich in history and continues to evolve and delight to this day? In this class you will develop body isolations, basic walking patterns, and dance combinations. This class is for beginners with little to no prior belly dance instruction. All bodies are welcome! While you can expect to move in new ways, there will always be a focus on safe movements with modifications available.

The Babysitter portion of the class will run from 9:00am - 3:00pm, followed by the Pet Sitter portion from 3:00 - 4:00pm. Please note, students are only able to register for the Pet Sitter Add-On if they complete the Babysitter portion of the class on the same day. Babysitter: Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, dealing with difficult behaviors, basic care methods like feeding and diapering, marketing and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including the importance of not giving out personal information and what to do if somebody comes to the door. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Class will end between 2 PM and 3 PM depending on when students complete the course requirements. Students need a lunch, snacks, and a fully charged cell phone (if they own one). If your student does not have a cell phone, please write down the cell phone number of the person picking them up and give it to the student. Students will message their ride at lunchtime to let their ride know what time to pick them up. Pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. Segment 2 is classroom instruction only; there are no driving lessons. The following topics are covered: risk awareness, alcohol and driving, drug-impaired driving and illness, distracted driving, drowsy driving, sleep and emotions, anatomical gift donation, and driving test explanation. Requirements: Student must have their Level 1 License from the Secretary of State for at least 3 MONTHS and completed at least 30 hours of driving. Class instruction: Segment 2 classes will be in person for all three days. Because it's a short class, the Secretary of State requires attendance each day. Important: After successfully completing Segment 2, students will receive a Segment 2 Certificate. This certificate is needed for the Driving Test, and eventually to get the student's Level 2 License. Please place this certificate in a safe place. Come design and create your own clothing! Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew garments from scratch, and see their designs come to life! A different garment will be made each day. No sewing experience required. This is a great class for all experience levels as the projects can be adjusted based on skill level. Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine. If they do not own one, a machine will be provided for them. The week ends with a fashion show on Friday where the students get to display all of their hard work! All materials are included. Camps can be booked AM and PM as well as multiple weeks as projects and fabrics differ from day to day. Repeat student? No problem! We will have a variety of new projects this year! In this half day camp, students will sculpt, paint and draw various imaginative and colorful creations using a mixed media of non-toxic, kid friendly materials. This creative camp offers a fun and unique array of classes and projects that get the imagination running wild using step by step instructions, a touch of imagination, and all materials are provided. Recommended for ages 6-12

Kids will make slime and potions each day to learn about their superpower, mindfulness, and the art of managing emotions and frustrations. Kids will learn how to recognize when they are in a sticky situation and learn strategies to respond to unfriendly classmates, unfriendly friends, sibling conflict and everyday challenges. Each day, kids will make different colors of slimes that represent their emotions and learn ways to manage them. Lots of games, fun and role playing to handle sticky situations in this camp. Please pack a nut free snack and drink/water bottle. Grades K - 5 If students are participating in both AM and PM camps, they are welcome to bring a lunch and stay in the room between camps.
