Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Things will heat up as we examine the sun and other stars and discover the difficulties of space travel! Kids will get a firsthand experience of the challenges of living in space as they build circuits while training to be an astronaut. For added fun, we’ll learn about the various technologies that make space exploration possible while bouncing lasers around the room! Kids will love to build their own Mad Science Skyblazer Rocket and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch. Campers will receive many cool NASA take homes!

Pack your "passport" and get ready for an exciting journey across the globe! In this interactive camp, each day brings campers to a new destination, where they’ll explore the culture, traditions, and creativity of countries around the world. Campers will "travel" to Japan, the Philippines, Brazil, Australia, and France through hands-on crafts, games, and snacks inspired by each country's unique heritage. Whether creating origami in Japan, building mini bahay kubo in the Philippines, or painting boomerangs in Australia, every activity is designed to spark curiosity and appreciation for global diversity. Recommended for ages 5-11

Kids will build a toolbox of social skills to handle school and recess challenges. Kids will learn how to problem solve to be inclusive, deal with rule changers & cheating, & how to be a friendly classmate whether you win or lose. Kids will learn exact words to say, tone of voice & how their body language should look. Kids will learn how to respond when other kids say they can’t play, or they are having private conversations. Kids will learn frustration management techniques & coping skills to help them be calm in sticky situations, so they can “act”, not “react”. Camp includes a back to school tool-box craft, & lots of fun games. Recommended for ages 7-10

For age 6 and up. Basic foil fencing for anyone interested in learning the sport. Wear sneakers and exercise clothing, all equipment provided. Limit of 10 students.

Michigan’s graduated driver licensing process requires that teens 17 and younger take Segment 1, Segment 2 and a Driving Test. Driving instruction: Driving instructors will set up drives with students around their schedule. On the first day of class, students need to know their availability during the three weeks of class as instructors may begin assigning driving times that day. Important After successfully completing Segment 1, students will receive a Segment 1 Certificate. This certificate needs to be taken to the Secretary of State to obtain a Level 1 License as soon as possible. The process will be explained to students in class, but students and parents should read the Segment 1 Certificate for more information. Please keep this certificate in a safe place. Segment 2 is classroom instruction only; there are no driving lessons. The following topics are covered: risk awareness, alcohol and driving, drug-impaired driving and illness, distracted driving, drowsy driving, sleep and emotions, anatomical gift donation, and driving test explanation. Requirements: Student must have their Level 1 License from the Secretary of State for at least 3 MONTHS and completed at least 30 hours of driving. Class instruction: Segment 2 classes will be in person for all three days. Because it's a short class, the Secretary of State requires attendance each day. Important: After successfully completing Segment 2, students will receive a Segment 2 Certificate. This certificate is needed for the Driving Test, and eventually to get the student's Level 2 License. Please place this certificate in a safe place. Come design and create your own clothing! Students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew garments from scratch, and see their designs come to life! A different garment will be made each day. No sewing experience required. This is a great class for all experience levels as the projects can be adjusted based on skill level. Students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine. If they do not own one, a machine will be provided for them. The week ends with a fashion show on Friday where the students get to display all of their hard work! All materials are included. Camps can be booked AM and PM as well as multiple weeks as projects and fabrics differ from day to day. Repeat student? No problem! We will have a variety of new projects this year! Join our beginner group class designed for Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Ukulele students! This structured course provides foundational skills for each instrument using a specially designed chord progression ensemble book as the main course material. Each student will choose one instrument—guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele—and focus on it throughout the course, learning alongside others playing different instruments. What to Expect: • Instrument-Specific Instruction: Whether you bring a guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele, you will receive dedicated instruction tailored to your instrument. • Ensemble Playing: Learn how to play in a group setting, developing rhythm, timing, and musical awareness while playing chord progressions alongside other instruments. • Step-by-Step Guidance: The class starts with basic chords, rhythms, and simple melodic lines, progressing toward playing full ensemble arrangements by the end of the 10 weeks. • Fretboard & Chord Recognition: Gain a clear understanding of key signatures, scales, and common chord shapes, with visual guides and exercises for guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. • Easy-to-Follow Tablature & Diagrams: No prior music reading experience is required! The course book includes tablature, chord charts, and neck diagrams to make learning accessible for all students. • Hands-On Practice: Each session will focus on playing real music together, applying what you learn in a fun, supportive group environment. This class is perfect for absolute beginners as well as those with a little experience looking for structured learning and group collaboration.
