GENERAL RULES:

  • Always treat others with respect and follow any instructions provided by The War Memorial staff. 
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times. 
  • Shoes and shirts are required at all times while on the premises. 
  • Please dispose of waste and recyclables in the appropriate bins. Solicitation of any kind is prohibited.

Class & Event Registrations

Full payment is required at the time of registration or ticket purchase.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

Ticketed Events: 
Tickets to events and other purchases are non-refundable, except when The War Memorial is required to cancel or reschedule an event. In the event of a closure or cancellation, guests who have purchased a ticket will be contacted. Ticket holders unable to use their tickets are encouraged to call our office at 313.881.7511 to gift their tickets to a friend who may enjoy the experience or donate their ticket(s) back to The War Memorial.

The following policies apply to all classes, 1-day workshops, and camp experiences:
All cancellation/refund requests must be in writing and must be sent via email to ce@warmemorial.org. A confirmation email will be sent with information regarding the outcome of the request. Each request is determined by the Community Engagement department. Refunds are processed by the issuance of a check (if paid by cash/check) or by credit card (if paid by credit card) within 5–10 business days after the review of the request. 

  •  Refund requests submitted more than two weeks prior to a program start date will receive a 100% refund LESS a $10 an Administrative Fee. 
  • Refund requests submitted less than two weeks before a program start date, but more than 3 business days prior, will be issued a 50% refund LESS a $10 Administrative Fee. 
  • Refund requests submitted less than 3 business days prior to the start of a program will not be granted and no refund will be issued. 

Day trip refund policy: 
No refunds will be issued for day trips unless cancelled by The War Memorial. Patrons may transfer their day trip reservation to a friend on their own. Please send an email to ce@warmemorial.org with the name of the person attending if you are unable to attend. No refunds for cancellation requests received on the day of the trip, or for no-shows. 

Transfer policy: 
Transfers are executed solely under the discretion of the Community Engagement staff. Transfer requests will not be accepted within 10 days of the start of a class or event. After a ticket has been transferred, no further transfers or refunds will be accepted.
