Digital Comics Making WorkshopYouth: Creative ArtsDiscover the world of digital comic creation—no expensive equipment required! Thanks to a partnership with artist Andrew Sigman, MSU Extension, and 4-H Macomb, students can explore digital art using classroom-provided iPads, Apple Pencils, and the powerful Procreate app. This hands-on 4-week series introduces young creators to the essentials of digital illustration in a fun, accessible, and beginner-friendly environment. Each session builds on the last, starting with a guided introduction to Procreate’s tools and features and gradually moving into sketching, inking, coloring, and layout techniques. By the end of the series, students will have the foundational skills needed to begin crafting and publishing their own webcomics—and the confidence to continue growing as digital artists. A perfect opportunity for kids curious about digital art to learn, create, and experiment without the need for at-home equipment.2026 -
