Digital Comics Making WorkshopYouth: Creative ArtsDiscover the world of digital comic creation—no expensive equipment required! Thanks to a partnership with artist Andrew Sigman, MSU Extension, and 4-H Macomb, students can explore digital art using classroom-provided iPads, Apple Pencils, and the powerful Procreate app. This hands-on 4-week series introduces young creators to the essentials of digital illustration in a fun, accessible, and beginner-friendly environment. Each session builds on the last, starting with a guided introduction to Procreate’s tools and features and gradually moving into sketching, inking, coloring, and layout techniques. By the end of the series, students will have the foundational skills needed to begin crafting and publishing their own webcomics—and the confidence to continue growing as digital artists. A perfect opportunity for kids curious about digital art to learn, create, and experiment without the need for at-home equipment.2026 -
Drivers Education - Segment 1 (2026)Drivers EducationMichigan’s graduated driver licensing process requires that teens 17 and younger take Segment 1, Segment 2 and a Driving Test. For more information about the state’s graduated driver licensing process and teen driver safety, visit the Secretary of State website: https://www.michigan.gov/sos/license-id/new-drivers For questions regarding Drivers Education, please email ce@warmemorial.org Requirement: Students must be 14 years and 8 months to 17 years old. Please read all of the information on this page carefully BEFORE you choose a class and register your student. Driving instruction: Driving instructors will set up drives with students around their schedule. On the first day of class, students need to know their availability during the three weeks of class as instructors may begin assigning driving times that day. Important After successfully completing Segment 1, students will receive a Segment 1 Certificate. This certificate needs to be taken to the Secretary of State to obtain a Level 1 License as soon as possible. The process will be explained to students in class, but students and parents should read the Segment 1 Certificate for more information. Please keep this certificate in a safe place. Replacement certificates are to be ordered from and paid to The Grosse Pointe Driving School, reachable at 586 601 9698.2026 -

Students will experiment with a variety of materials, including gouache, watercolor, oil pastels, and mixed media, while learning about famous art movements like surrealism and cubism in a fun, supportive environment.
