Join our beginner group class designed for Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Ukulele students! This structured course provides foundational skills for each instrument using a specially designed chord progression ensemble book as the main course material. Each student will choose one instrument—guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele—and focus on it throughout the course, learning alongside others playing different instruments. What to Expect: • Instrument-Specific Instruction: Whether you bring a guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele, you will receive dedicated instruction tailored to your instrument. • Ensemble Playing: Learn how to play in a group setting, developing rhythm, timing, and musical awareness while playing chord progressions alongside other instruments. • Step-by-Step Guidance: The class starts with basic chords, rhythms, and simple melodic lines, progressing toward playing full ensemble arrangements by the end of the 8 weeks. • Fretboard & Chord Recognition: Gain a clear understanding of key signatures, scales, and common chord shapes, with visual guides and exercises for guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. • Easy-to-Follow Tablature & Diagrams: No prior music reading experience is required! Curious about crochet but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction. In a relaxed, social environment, you’ll learn foundational crochet skills step by step: no experience required! We'll go over the foundation of crochet i.e. how to hold a crochet hook, yarn tension, creating a foundation chain, basic stitch(es), and more. If you used to crochet but you need a refresher this class is perfect for you, too! All supplies are included for the duration of class. In this class you will develop body isolations, walking patterns, and dance combinations. This class is an intermediate level, meant for those with some prior belly dance instruction. All bodies are welcome! While you can expect to move in new ways, there will always be a focus on safe movements with modifications available.

For Ages 6+. You must have attended the Beginning Fencing class at least once to join. Learn about fencing that will bring the age-old sword fight to modern times. All equipment is provided. Please wear sneakers and exercise clothes.

Calling all 6th–8th graders to join us Under the Stars for an unforgettable evening in the ballroom overlooking Lake St. Clair on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:30–8:30pm. For two hours, we’ll trade textbooks for twinkle lights and transform the dance floor into a galaxy of music, laughter, and memories in the making. Students are encouraged to dress for a night that sparkles. Think celestial shimmer, midnight blues, silvers, soft glows, or any look that makes you feel star-worthy. Whether your style is classic, bold, or a little cosmic, come ready to shine. Gather your friends, bring your best dance-floor energy, and get ready for a night that feels like it’s written in the stars. Each ticket includes a voucher for one slice of Jet’s Pizza (pepperoni, cheese, and gluten-free available). Additional slices, chips, and cookies will be available at the snack bar for $2 each.
